CERTIFICATIONS

This standard specifies requirements for a quality management system when an organization needs to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. It also aims to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.

This standard specifies requirements for organizations working within the oil, gas and petrochemical industry supply chain. ISO/TS 29001:2011 provides additional requirements to ISO 9001 specifically intended for petroleum, petrochemical and natural gas industries. For organizations within the oil and gas industry supply chain, certification to ISO/TS 29001 represents a significant opportunity for standardization and improvement. First published in 2003, it was developed by ISO and the international oil and gas industry, led by American Petroleum Institute (API).
